The 2010 Canada-India Cup kicks off tonight at 7:00pm in Surrey, British Columbia. The Canadian women’s national team look to gain some valuable experience ahead of this fall’s Commonwealth Games by taking on the number-13 ranked Indians in a four game series.
Canada is currently ranked 19th in the world.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for us,” says Canadian head coach Louis Mendonca. The calibre of competition will be excellent and this serves as great preparation for the Commonwealth Games.”
Tonight’s game takes place at Tamanawis Park in Surrey at 7:00pm local time. Games Two and Three will take place at the same location on June 17th and 19th.
Game Four is June 20th at 4:00pm at Wright Field on the University of British Columbia campus.
All games are free to attend but donations will also be accepted.
