Field Hockey Canada is looking to fill the role of Team Manager for the Men’s National U17 Squad. The individual should be passionate about sport and field hockey, and have a strong appreciation and understanding of the requirements for a high performance environment – both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as the primary management link for all U17 Men’s program and event requirements.
- Working closely with the U17 Men’s Head Coach in the preparation and dissemination of domestic and international, training and competition schedules and requirements.
- Working with the Men’s Senior and Junior National Team domestic managers on program alignment, event participation and providing key program information for the athletes.
- Manage the U17 Men’s Team during the organization and conduct of U17 training camps and domestic/ international competitions.
Skills required:
- Superior organizational skills and ability to work cooperatively with high performance athletes, staff, coaches, technical, sport psychology and other sport specialists.
- Comfort and familiarity with basic computer programs for information dissemination and program/event management.
- Recent international program/event competition team management experience.
