Head Coach Announced for Jr. Men’s National Team

December 20, 2010

Field Hockey Canada is pleased to announce that Aaron Guest has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Men’s Junior National Program.

Aaron has a long history as a Club and University player in Australia, followed by a move to B.C. where he played on the B.C. Provincial team, and the Vancouver Hawks Hockey Club. He has a long list of coaching experience including: specialty coach for several Club Teams in Australia (1997-2003), the Alberta, Women’s’ U18 and Senior Team at the National Championships, and assistant for the Junior Men’s and Senior team for targeted training camps. Aaron was also Head Coach of Canada’s U17 Pan Am Championship Team that participated in the Pan Youth Championships in Mexico earlier this year.

"We are very pleased to have Aaron join the team. His prior coaching experience, familiarity with the talent pool at this age group, and his exposure to senior national team tactics and philosophy will all contribute favourably to our talented junoir athletes realizing their potential and progressing seamlessly into the senior ranks." Men’s Senior Coach Robin D’Abreo.

Please join us in welcoming Aaron in this new role!
