The Canadian Women’s Junior National U17 and U21 Teams have come out in full force at the USA – Canada Challenge.  The U21 team remains undefeated against the US side, while the U17 team has one win, one loss.  After a rest day yesterday, the young Canadians are ready to take the pitch again today and continue giving it all they’ve got against a strong American side.

“The series is going well and I am very pleased with the team’s performance thus far,” says U17 Head Coach Krista Thompson. “Every athlete has been given an opportunity to experience international play in the first two matches and they have all given their best effort when called upon.  It was a great confidence booster to get the win in the second game of the series. The athletes were able to generate and capitalize on their scoring chances.  As a team, our goals for the next two matches are to continue to improve tactically, both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.”
