Robin D’Abreo to lead implementation of LTHD

Today Robin D’Abreo, previously the Men’s National Team Head Coach, takes on a new role at Field Hockey Canada.  FHC is pleased to announce Robin as the Director of Sport Development.  He will work closely with Technical Director Sharon Creelman until the end of August, when Sharon will resume the role of Athletic Director at Appleby College.  At that point, Robin will take over the reins to lead the development and implementation of FHC’s Long Term Hockey Development (LTHD) Strategy.

“I’m encouraged by the creation of this role and its potential to significantly impact the sustainable development of our sport,” says D’Abreo.  “I look forward to working with and learning from the fantastic organizations and the talented and dedicated volunteer base across the country that are so critical to our success.”

“Robin’s background in field hockey development is extensive,” says Senior Lead Karen O’Neill.  “His expertise is invaluable at such a critical time in the LTHD implementation process.”
