UPDATE: 2015 Men’s National Program Carding Camp

The Men’s National Program (MNP) will be hosting a carding camp for the upcoming 2015 carding cycle.

The camp will be held in Vancouver BC, over 3 consecutive weeks in October 2014. The purpose of the Camp will be to identify athletes to be nominated for the Sport Canada Athlete Assistance Program (Carded Athletes) for 2015, the Senior Development Squad and the Junior (U21) Development Squad.

The camp will take place at Wright Field, Osborne Centre and the Tennis Bubble at UBC.

To be eligible for carding athletes must attend the testing session and a minimum of 3 turf training sessions.

Athletes unable to attend October 27^th for testing will need to contact Anthony Farry (afarry@fieldhockey.ca) for approval regarding an alternative testing time.

Oct 13^th – 5pm, Osborne Centre, UBC CANCELED

Oct 27th – 8pm, Richmond Oval. Room TBA.

Testing sessions

Oct 13^th – 5.30pm, Tennis Bubble, UBC CANCELED

Oct 20^th – 5.30pm, Tennis Bubble, UBC CANCELED

Oct 27^th – 6pm, Richmond Oval running track.

Turf sessions

Oct 14^th – 6.30am-9am, UBC

Oct 16^th – 8.30am-10am, UBC

Oct 17^th– 6.30am-9am, UBC

Oct 21^st – 6.30am-9am, UBC

Oct 23^rd– 8.30am-10am, UBC

Oct 24^th– 6.30am-9am, UBC

Oct 28^th – 6.30am-9am, UBC

Oct 30^th – 8.30am-10am, UBC

Oct 31^st – 6.30am-9am, UBC

There will be a levy of $100 for non-carded athletes to attend the camp. Cash or a cheque made out to Field Hockey Canada will be accepted. Out of town athletes are responsible for their own transportation, boarding and lodging. Please use your own network to obtain billets. Vancouver based athletes; your support with helping facilitate this will be greatly appreciated.
