Field Hockey Canada today confirmed a National Under 17 Men’s team would be competing at the 2014 Men’s Youth Pan American Championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) event will feature the exciting new Hockey5s version of the game. The event will run from February 1-8th and also serve as a qualifier to the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China.
To select the squad Under 17 Head Coach, Scott Sandison will be holding two identification camps, open to those born between January 1st, 1996 and December 31st, 1999. Also in attendance at the camps will be Paul Bundy (Head Coach of Canada’s Under 21 Men’s team and Assistant Coach of Canada’s National Men’s team) as well as Anthony Farry (Director of Men’s National Program and Head Coach of Men’s National team).
