Field hockey has been a big part of her life since childhood. She started playing field hockey when she was about 7 years old. Her dad was a field hockey player in India, and he is the one who sparked her interest in this amazing sport. After moving to Canada, he would always bring her along to his games. She would sit on the bench mesmerized by the action and decided that one day she would be out there playing as well. Her dad encouraged her to play by giving her his first stick from India. She went out and played with the girls he was coaching and never looked back.
She recently played on the provincial team for the first time, and she was the top scorer. Along with hockey, she is very passionate about academics. She has been an honour roll student for many years. Hockey is what makes her who she is, and her goal is to make it to the Olympics one day.
