The Series between the men’s and women’s teams of Canada and Chile opened on Saturday, on a perfect sunny afternoon, at UBC Wright Field in Vancouver, with a good performance of the Canadian Women’s Development Team which managed to tie with Chile 1-1.
Chile started strongly and immediately had chances on a penalty-corner and on a confusing sequence in front of goal, but Azelia LIU did well to protect the Canadian goal…

Omar Schlingemann Guest Expert Coach At FHC Junior Men’s Camp

Omar Schlingemann, previous assistant to Roelant Oltmans at Laren Club will be the expert coach for the upcoming Canadian Men’s Junior National Camp.
He has previously trained a top league club in Holland, worked with the Egyptian National Team and most recently, was the assistant coach for the Canadian Men’s Team at the 2010 World Cup in India.
Omar has an extensive amount of experience in training players and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and skill with the FHC Junior Men’s Camp from July 31 to August 15, 2010 in Vancouver…
British Columbia wins U16 National Championships

Teams from British Columbia have captured the FHC U16 National Championships for the second straight year after victories Sunday afternoon in Mississauga, Ontario.
BC Blue defeated Ontario in the men’s gold medal game 8-0 to win the national title. Both Parker Woods and Janroop Gill scored hat tricks to lead their team to victory.

U16 National Championships begin in Mississauga

The 2010 FHC U16 National Championships begin Wednesday at the Iceland Fields in Mississauga, Ontario. The six-team women’s tournament and five-team men’s tournament will each begin with BC Blue versus Saskatchewan. Classification and playoff matches will begin on the weekend with the gold medal finals scheduled for Sunday, July 25th at 10 am for the men and noon for the women.
