Field Hockey Canada > Field Hockey Canada launches Collaborative Community Conversations

Collaborative Conversations designed to align with the common purpose of creating a better sport for all

This Spring, Field Hockey Canada is hosting a series of facilitated collaborative conversations with our stakeholders. We invite you to join these conversations and help shape our environment and sport towards our collective goals. Facilitated by an external consultant, three evenings of conversation will be held, each designed around a specific areas: provincial sport organizations, University Sport and finally, an open invitation to club members or other stakeholders from across the country to join the conversation.

Field Hockey Canada firmly believes that when the community works together in a Team of Teams approach, leveraging capacity, leadership, expertise and resources from all areas of our community, we can create a better-quality sport experience for everyone. All voices matter and we want to hear your voice. What should our sport look like in Canada in the coming decade – and how can we work as one nation to achieve this? Through these conversations, you have a chance to make the difference.

The collaborative approach is already embedded in much of the organization’s operations. For example, we have an Athlete Council who are increasingly engaged in shaping the national team environment. These collaborative conversations with our community, build on this, extending beyond some of the provincial and community-based partnerships we have, to elicit all voices.  We are looking for the community to join the conversation for a better sport for all.
