Field Hockey Canada > Field Hockey Canada welcomes National Bank of Canada as Premium National Sponsor

Partnership will help grow the sport through aligning FHC’s talent pathway with a shared talent recruitment engagement program

Field Hockey Canada is excited to announce a new partnership with National Bank of Canada, who joins the organization as a Premium National Sponsor.

The agreement signals the beginning of a collaboration focused on supporting the growth of field hockey in Canada. The partnership will help strengthen the sport and enhance opportunities for athletes, coaches and hockey communities across the country.

National Bank of Canada, as a Premium National Sponsor, will support a range of Field Hockey Canada programs including domestic events and national teams. The partnership will also include initiatives designed to connect athletes and leaders with educational and professional development opportunities and resources.

Susan Ahrens, CEO of Field Hockey Canada, said she’s delighted that National Bank of Canada is supporting Field Hockey Canada.

“National Bank of Canada is an avid supporter of amateur sport in Canada and we are delighted to have them join the Field Hockey Canada family. In our shared vision for supporting communities and developing talent, this partnership has a strong foundation,” Ahrens said. “Most exciting is the Talent Recruitment Program which will bring enhanced education and career learning for our young athletes within the Next Generation youth system. The parallels of talent development within an athletic context and a business context are strong, and this partnership will serve to strengthen these further to our mutual benefit.”

National teams will wear the National Bank of Canada logo on their uniforms as Field Hockey Canada collaborates on opportunities for athletes, coaches, and members of the community across the country.

Such partnerships are a key step in the shared mission to strengthen and grow the hockey community at all levels. Community sport plays a critical role in building leadership, confidence and connection, and this partnership will help Field Hockey Canada expand those opportunities for Canadians from coast-to-coast.

“At National Bank of Canada, we recognize that the qualities that drive success in high-performance sport, such as discipline, teamwork, resilience and leadership, are the same qualities that help build exceptional careers. We’re proud to partner with Field Hockey Canada to support athletes both on and off the field through meaningful learning experiences and career development opportunities. Together, we look forward to helping the next generation of talent reach its full potential,” said Morten Eisenhardt, Managing Director & Head, Vancouver Investment Banking.

Through this partnership, both organizations will work together to create meaningful experiences for athletes and the field hockey community while supporting the continued advancement of the sport from grassroots participation through to the high-performance pathway.

“We thank the National Bank team for their trust and partnership, and we are excited about the impact we can create together for Canadian field hockey and community sport in the years ahead,” Ahrens said.
