The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has released its updated outdoor world rankings based on performance in key competitions in 2014 and the Canadian men have moved up two spots.
The rankings are based on points awarded upon the completion of Hockey World League Round One, the 2014 Champions Trophy, and the Champions Challenge events.
The Canadian Men’s National Team has moved up two spots, from 16th to 14th in the world, after finishing second at the Champions Challenge I in Malaysia. The Women’s National Team has remained at 22nd in the world.
