Estimated Cost to Participate:

All Women’s Masters Outdoor teams are self-funded. If selected to play at the World Cup, the individual/shared costs will include: airfare/travel, accommodation, tournament entry fees, facilities rental, uniforms, coaching and managing honorarium/costs, food. Depending on where a player is traveling from, the budget is expected to be between $4,500 – $5,200.

The shared costs to participate are to be collected through FHC while individuals will be responsible for individual costs such as purchasing their own airfares.  You will also incur personal costs to participate in the training camps and tournaments as part of the preparation for the event. The host country has not yet shared the accommodation and local transport arrangements and any related payments.

This first levy for shared costs is $50 and will enable FHC Masters to pay the costs associated with running the selection camps.  It is non-refundable and it includes a $25 administration fee for FHC. This levy is payable by all athletes requesting consideration for a team and is due by February 11th, 2024

Subsequent levies will be scheduled to meet the shared costs as they arise. Once the teams are selected you can anticipate the second levy of approximately $200 to follow shortly thereafter as the WMH registration fee will be required.

Field Hockey Canada’s Masters program is 100% self-funded by athletes selected for the World Cup teams. Athletes will be expected to pay all the costs of participation, including the costs of uniforms, airfares, accommodations, meals, ground transportation, team equipment, medical costs and supplies, and FHC personnel costs (coaching, managing and physiotherapy).  Apart from airfare these costs are expected to be in the range of $3,500 to $5,500.  There may be additional costs for training and tournament travel before the 2024 World Cup events.
