Expression of interest for upcoming Men’s National program open camp
Field Hockey Canada is excited to host the annual Men’s National Team open camp in November, 2026. This camp serves as a reset point each year for our squad and begins preparation for the 2026-2027 season, which includes the buildup to the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru and the 2028 Olympic Games in LA.
The Men’s National Team is coming off a season featuring World Cup Qualifiers in Santiago, Chile and a home series in Surrey, BC against USA. The team will parlay open camp straight into a competition element in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia where they’ll match up against Australia, Malaysia, USA, Scotland and South Africa.
This November Camp is an open camp, but numbers will be limited. Any new athlete application, not currently receiving AAP support, will be screened by our men’s national head coach before an invitation is sent out. Only athletes with an invitation will be able to attend this camp.
Details of the camp will be sent out with the invitation. All athletes invited to the camp will be evaluated and given feedback post camp.
Dates of the camp: November 10-13, 2026, Vancouver BC
Anyone who is interested to join the MNT training squad will need to complete this expression of interest first. If their application is successful they will receive an invitation to the carding camp with more details on venue and structure of the camp.
