Canada edged by USA in Game 2 of Test SeriesJanuary 22, 2011 The Canadian women’s national field hockey team were defeated by Team USA Friday afternoon in the second of a four game test series held in Chula Vista, California.  Diana Roemer and Katie Baker scored for the Canucks however American Torrie Albini netted the game winning goal with two minutes remaining, lifting USA to 3-2 victory.Canada took an early lead when Roemer fired a shot into the back of the net off of a penalty corner in the first four minutes…

As most of you already know, the Men’s Canadian Indoor Hockey team qualified for the Indoor World Cup last year in Venezuela, and we’ve been working hard in light of the world stage event. Unfortunately, our program is entirely self-funded because there is no support from the government, so we could really use your help! USA Women’s National Team Defeat Canada in Game One

The Canadian Women’s National Field Hockey Team lost to Team USA 5-0 in Chula Vista, California, yesterday in their first game of a four match Test Series. This was the Canadian’s first match in an international competition since October at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.

The first goal of the match was scored seventeen minutes into the first half by Paige Selenski on a penalty corner. Less than ten minutes following, Michelle Kasold put away her first goal of the game, giving USA a 2-0 advantage…

The Hockey Institute presents the 2011 Gemuetlichkeit Indoor Kup on February 27 – 28, 2011 at RIM Park in Waterloo, Ontario. There is a Women’s division open for 10 teams as well as a Men’s division that is open for 10 teams. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games (2 periods of 20 minutes). A Champion will be crowned in each division. The cost of the tournament is $650 Cdn per team with a maximum of 12 players per team…

The Alberta Field Hockey Association is pleased to announce the recent decision to host two Alberta Cup tournaments in the 2011 year.

The first tournament will be the 2011 Senior Indoor – Alberta Cup that will take place at the Talisman Centre in Calgary, Alberta on February 25 – 27, 2011. All club and provincial teams are invited to participate in the tournament. The tournament registration deadline is January 31, 2011…
