Day 7:

This morning was the earliest yet as our jog and stretch was scheduled for 6:10am.  When we stepped outside, we were alarmed to see that it was still dark out, but continued on our routine warm up. After this we had some breakfast then prepared for our final game against the Americans.

Upon arrival at the field we warmed up then were ready to play! However, this game was not like the others; the Americans were pressuring constantly and it was evident that this was going to be a ver ycompetitive game…

Today we had an earlier game which required waking up at 630 for a team run and breakfast. We then headed to the field for our third match against the Americans. The game started off a bit slow but we managed to pick it up and ended up with a 1-0 lead at halftime due to a goal by Sarah AKA ‘Kegs…

Day 5:

Today we awoke to a mysterious mist engulfing La Quinta Inn. It was an earlier start because of our upcoming practice and luncheon with Team USA,  breakfast at 7:45 (much to Caashia’s dismay…."Get outta ma face!!!!"). After a delicious breakfast of Greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs, we headed to the field. Practice was low key but productive and soon we were starving. With rosy cheeks (some a little bit more tomato coloured) we joined the Americans for lunch in the OTC cafeteria…

Day 3:

Today was full of different emotions.  We started our day with a nice team run & stretch followed by breakfast.   Then we headed to our meeting to find out our line ups and game plan for the big match against Team USA.  After this we had just over an hour to calm ourselves and mentally prepare.  We headed to our vans for the trek to the field, filled with anxiety, excitement and nerves…
