Men’s Indoor Team Returns Home From Russia Tournament

The Canadian Men’s Indoor team has returned home after participating in the Moscow Nights Indoor Field Hockey Tournament in Moscow, Russia. The tournament was a prelude to the FIH Indoor World Cup to be held in Poznan, Poland on February 8th – 13th, 2011.

In the tournament, the Canadian team was placed in Pool B that saw countries Russia, Sweden, Iran, and Belarus also competing for the first place title…

Game for the Cure keeps on giving

Inspired by the Canadian women’s national team’s Game for the Cure in September 2009, Nicola McIlrick founded the “Game for the Cure: Tri-Cities” to continue field hockey’s support for cancer research in British Columbia.

The event, which took place in 2009 and 2010, pits a high school All-Star team against the local Division 1 & 2 Women’s Team.  Local high school coaches nominate three players from their team as All-Stars, and the two teams battle it out…

The Men’s Indoor National Team is currently in Moscow, Russia to compete in the Moscow Nights Indoor Hockey Tournament.  The Canadian Team is being hosted by the Russian Hockey Federation who organized the event as a prelude to the Indoor World Cup to be held in Poznan, Poland on February 8th – 13th, 2011.  Canada qualified for the Indoor World Cup by winning the Pan American Indoor Qualifier in Barquisimeto, Venezuela on August 9th to 15th, 2010…

Pools announced for 2011 FIH Indoor World Cups

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is pleased to announce the official Pools for the 3rd FIH Indoor World Cup for men and women.  The double event – which takes place once every four years – will be played in the Polish city of Poznan from the 8th to the 13th February 2011. 

For the first time in the short history of the FIH Indoor World Cup, all five continents will be represented at the third Edition of the tournament…

2010 Women’s National Team Carding Camp Report November 22, 2010 This Year’s Women’s National Carding Camp was held from November 9th-14th in Vancouver and consisted of players from across Canada.  These different players comprised of two teams: Black and Red. The teams were to train separately and then compete against each other in a series of 6 matches throughout the week.
