Men’s National Indoor Team Loses To The Netherlands In First Match

This afternoon the Canadian Men’s Indoor Team opened up their 2011 FIH Indoor World Cup in Poznan, Poland with a match against the Netherlands.
Canada conceded a penalty-corner in the second minute of play, but veteran goal-keeper Shankar PREMAKANTHAN was off his line very fast to prevent a shot. Canadian Men’s Indoor Team Ready For FIH Indoor World Cup

POZNAN- The Canadian Men’s Indoor Hockey team are in the final stages of preparation for the FIH 2011 Indoor World Cup. The team arrived in the host city, Poznan, Poland, on Saturday night after a long train journey that took them from Vienna, Austria through the Czech Republic and finally to the host nation.
Canada had a productive training week in the “Imperial City”, training on a local indoor pitch four times and playing three exhibition games over the course of the week…
FIH Announces Schedule for the Women’s Champions Challenge II

LAUSANNE – The FIH has announced the playing schedule for the Women’s Champions Challenge II (Outdoor), which will be held in Vienna, Austria from May 7 – 15, 2011.
The Women’s Champions Challenge II is a young event, with the 2011 tournament being only the second of its kind. The first edition took place in the Russian city of Kazan in 2009, and was won by India.
Eight nations will compete in the tournament, with Austria, Chile, Belgium, Russia, Canada, Italy, Malaysia and Belarus all in action…
