Dr. Jack Taunton named 2011 BC Athletics Hall of Fame inductee
Taunton’s career highlights include CMO appointments for the Canadian teams at the Sydney Olympics, two Pan American Games and two World Student Games. He was team physician and association coordinating physician for the Women’s National Team for more than 25 years.

Pan American Elite Teams recognize the top players in the Pan American region. Hockey specialists present at the 2011 Pan American Games and at the 2011 Pan American Challenge in Rio de Janeiro were consulted for the selection of this year’s Elite Teams.

The stage is set for Champions Challenge 1 Quarterfinals

The prize for the winners is a place in Saturday’s semi-finals with the sides already qualified for London 2012, Belgium and Argentina, facing the lesser-ranked Canada and Poland respectively.
