Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected to represent Canada at the upcoming Test Series vs Australia to be held in Toronto on May 13, 15, 16. The Selection for the Indoor World Cup Qualifier Squad will be announced after the Australia test Series

Canadians Winless On Day 3

The Canadian men’s and women’s indoor national squads fell short to Australia Wednesday evening in their third exhibition matches of the Series held at Ryerson University.
The men’s game saw the Aussies take an early 2 – 0 lead and never look back winning the game 7 – 3. Adam Ali, Micah Teixeira, and Devohn Teixeira were the goal scorers for team Canada.
The women’s game saw Jessica Buttinger, Kri Shier, and Amanda Woddcroft score for team Canada but it was not enough as the Aussies managed to win the match by a score of 5 – 3…

The Canadians were showcasing a large number of their squad members on their bench Tuesday night as many were getting their first opportunity to play an international game. With the coaches still looking for their final squad for the test series, there was nothing to lose for the majority of these young girls. The first exhibition match of Australia’s visit began Monday night at Ryerson University’s Kerr Hall. Both the Canadian and Australian sides have had practices at the University of Toronto Varsity gym so, the longer and narrower court at Ryerson was new to both teams. The Canadian men’s and women’s indoor national squads fell to Australia Tuesday evening in their second exhibition matches of the Series held at Ryerson University.
The men’s game saw Satnam Singh and Jonathan Roberts net goals for the Canucks. However the Aussies proved too strong cruising to a 7-2 victory.

Australia defeats Canada in indoor exhibition

The Australian men’s and women’s indoor national teams each earned a victory over their Canadian counterparts in the first of four exhibition contests Monday evening at Ryerson University in Toronto.
Emily Rix scored the lone goal for the Canadian women in a 4-1 loss. In the game prior, Jonathan Roberts and Devohn Teixeria scored for the Canadian men in a 4-2 loss.
The men’s and women’s teams will face each other again at Ryerson on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening…
Women’s Indoor Squad Wraps up Camp

More than five years have passed since Canada has sent a Women’s team to the World Cup Qualifier for Indoor Field Hockey. That qualifier took place in 2005 on home soil in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario where both the men’s and women’s teams captured the gold medal and a chance to represent Canada at the World Cup in Vienna, Austria in 2007.
