The 2025 Junior Pan American Games, also named Asu25, are the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games, an international multi-sports event for athletes aged 17 to 22 in the Americas, organized by Panam Sports. It is set to be held in Asunción, Paraguay between August 9 and 23, 2025. It is the first time that the Pan American Games, either senior or junior, will take place in Paraguay. This marks the second edition of the Games and the first time field hockey has been included in the event. The hockey competition will take place between August 10-19, 2025. The 2025 Men’s Pan American Cup takes place in Montevideo, Uruguay from July 24 to August 3, with Canada’s men’s team among the eight nations vying for the continental title. Argentina enters as the three‑time defending champion, but Canada will look to improve upon their strong legacy, having previously claimed the title in 2009 and boasting many podium finishes, including runner‑up spots in 2000, 2004, 2013, and 2017 . A gold medal at the Pan American Cup also earns the winner an automatic berth in the 2026 FIH Men’s World Cup.

From July 24 to August 3, Canada’s women’s team will compete at the 2025 Pan American Cup in Montevideo. Become a volunteer with Field Hockey Canada at our 2025 U18 & U16 National Championships!

We will provide you with:

• A t-shirt & accreditation
• Volunteer training (online &/or in person)
• Sign off on your volunteer hours for high school
• A letter to reduce or waive fees associated with your Criminal or Vulnerable Sectors Check

You will be required to:

• Register on our online portal – FREE
• Complete Safesport training – FREE
• Provide a Criminal Record Check if you are 18 or older that is valid within the last 3 years – At cost to the individual
• Some positions require a Vulnerable Sector Check instead, if you are 18 or older that is valid within the last 3 years and are indicated on the sign up sheet – At cost to the individual
• Once you have signed up with us, we will reach out to provide more details on how to complete our requirements outlined above. We will be able to provide you with a letter to help reduce the fees linked to the Criminal or Vulnerable Sector Check with your local police department. Some of the volunteer times may be subject to change once the game schedule is finalized in June.

The Can-Am Indoor Hockey Series is an annual tournament featuring Canadian and American Indoor Teams. This year’s iteration will be hosted at the University of Toronto Athletics Centre in Toronto, Ontario on March 14-16, 2025. The Friday will feature training slots and the official matches will begin on Saturday morning. There are 12 teams (6 from each country). The divisions represented are Youth Men & Women, Senior Men & Women and Masters Men & Women. Rosters and more information will come soon.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is glad to announce that the third edition of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup (women) will be played in Chile from 23 February to 2 March 2025.

The participating teams include some of the best hockey nations in the world, with even two of them – Japan and the USA –, having played at the Paris 2024 Olympics:

The FIH Hockey Nations Cup was launched in 2021 with the aim of offering a top-level competition to the best-ranked teams not participating in the FIH Hockey Pro League and giving the winning team the option to be promoted to the FIH Hockey Pro League the next season, precisely.

The first two editions of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup (women) were played in Spain (in Valencia in 2022 and in Terrassa in 2024). India won the inaugural edition, whilst Spain won the second one.

Cet automne, l’omniprésent Championnat de hockey sur gazon de U SPORTS deviendra une propriété de Hockey sur gazon Canada, en partenariat avec U SPORTS. La finale aura lieu à l’Université York, à Toronto (Ontario), du 1er au 3 novembre 2024. Il s’agira du point culminant de la saison régulière. Cette page servira de centre d’information pour l’événement. Plus de détails, y compris les équipes qualifiées, le calendrier et les détails de la diffusion en continu seront disponibles ici au cours du mois d’octobre.

PLUS D’INFORMATIONS

C’est une nouvelle ère passionnante pour le hockey sur gazon féminin au Canada. Depuis la création du hockey sur gazon universitaire, les universités ont joué un rôle clé dans le développement du hockey. Les athlètes universitaires deviennent les bâtisseurs du sport, les athlètes, les officiels et les partisans du sport tout au long de leur vie.

Dans cette optique, Hockey sur gazon Canada a saisi l’opportunité d’un partenariat avec U SPORTS et les universités participantes, avec la vision de faire du championnat national un atout pour notre sport et une proposition de valeur forte pour les athlètes qui terminent leurs études secondaires.

Hockey sur gazon Canada a élaboré un plan d’accueil initial de trois ans pour assurer la clarté de la planification et la stabilité. Entre-temps, le travail du comité se poursuit et la croissance et l’évolution à long terme du championnat constituent le prochain objectif.
