The 2025 FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup will take place in Santiago, Chile, from December 1–13, bringing together 24 under-21 national teams for the first time in an expanded format. This biennial tournament is a showcase of emerging global talent, with teams qualifying through continental championships to compete at the highest level. Hosted at the Centro Deportivo de Hockey Césped, the event promises a vibrant atmosphere and elite competition as future stars take the international stage. Team Canada returns after a challenging 2022 campaign in South Africa, where they finished 16th. In 2016, Canada placed 11th, showing resilience in a competitive field. Team Canada is building off of back-to-back World Cup qualifications and looking to make a splash in Pool E featuring Australia, Spain and Scotland.

The 2025 Junior Pan American Games, also named Asu25, are the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games, an international multi-sports event for athletes aged 17 to 22 in the Americas, organized by Panam Sports. It is set to be held in Asunción, Paraguay between August 9 and 23, 2025. It is the first time that the Pan American Games, either senior or junior, will take place in Paraguay. This marks the second edition of the Games and the first time field hockey has been included in the event. The hockey competition will take place between August 10-19, 2025. The 2025 Men’s Pan American Cup takes place in Montevideo, Uruguay from July 24 to August 3, with Canada’s men’s team among the eight nations vying for the continental title. Argentina enters as the three‑time defending champion, but Canada will look to improve upon their strong legacy, having previously claimed the title in 2009 and boasting many podium finishes, including runner‑up spots in 2000, 2004, 2013, and 2017 . A gold medal at the Pan American Cup also earns the winner an automatic berth in the 2026 FIH Men’s World Cup.

Field Hockey Canada is excited to host the 2025 National Championships in Brampton, Ontario at the Cassie Campbell Hockey Pitch. The tournament will take place from July 25 – August 5, 2025 featuring a U18 division and then followed by the U16 event.
