The 2024 Indoor Pan American Cup will be held in Calgary, AB, from March 17-22, 2024. The last time Canada hosted the Indoor Pan American Championships was in 2005 in Waterloo, Ontario. Since then, the event has taken place in Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, Guyana, and in 2021, the event was held in Pennsylvania, USA.

Field Hockey Canada welcomes the Pan American countries to Alberta with open arms. This tournament is a part of Field Hockey Canada’s hosting strategy along with the 2024 Junior Pan American Championships, set to take place in Surrey, BC in the early summer 2024. The tournament will serve as an Indoor World Cup qualifier. The number of teams advancing out of the Pan Americas in the women’s and men’s divisions is currently to be determined by the FIH. Canada’s men’s team last qualified for the Indoor World Cup in 2015 and the women’s team placed a record eighth at the 2023 FIH Indoor World Cup in South Africa.

The Junior Pan American Championship will be hosted in Surrey, BC between the dates of July 2-14, 2024. The tournament was previously hosted in Canada in 2016, in Toronto, and has subsequently been hosted in Chile and Barbados. This is the second time that Canada will play host in the history of the event.
The tournament will take place in June at Tamanawis Park in Surrey, BC. The tournament will feature the junior women’s and men’s division over eight days in July. Canada will be among the favourites in the tournament, along with Argentina, Chile and USA. The Junior Women’s Team is coming off a gold medal in 2021 and a fourth-place finish in 2023, qualifying for back-to-back Junior World Cups. The Canadian Junior Men’s side has earned the silver medal in three of the last four Junior Pan American Championships including 2023 in Bridgetown, Barbados. Both the men’s and women’s teams will be attending their respective 2023 Junior World Cups in December.

Canada is sending a team in the Women’s O50, Women’s O60, and Women’s O65 divisions. The tournament is taking place December 6-14. The FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifiers consist of two tournaments, with three teams advancing out of each tournament. FIH has announced the qualifying teams and pools for each tournament. Field Hockey Canada’s Women’s National Team will play in Valencia, Spain in January for a chance at an Olympic berth. Team roster, streaming information, and more details will be available soon.

The 2023 Pan American Games are taking place in Santiago, Chile from October 20-November 5. The hockey competition starts on Wednesday October 25, with the gold medal match being played on November 3. More details to come as Canada prepares for the 2023 Pan American Games.

The 2023 Pan American Games are taking place in Santiago, Chile from October 20-November 5. The hockey competition starts on Wednesday October 25, with the gold medal match being played on November 4. More details to come as Canada prepares for the 2023 Pan American Games.

The U16 Women’s Junior National Team is organized on a year-to-year basis for tours and tournaments as scheduled by Field Hockey Canada High Performance direction. This year, the U16 National Junior Team traveled to the Netherlands for the International Den Bosch tournament from May 27-29, 2023. The U16 Women’s Junior National Team is composed primarily of members of the FHC NextGen system.
