Field Hockey Canada USPORTS Championships

The Field Hockey Canada USPORTS Championships is presented by National Bank of Canada and Farm Mutual Reinsurance. The tournament will be hosted at the University of Waterloo from November 5-8, 2026. The tournament features a season-end awards banquet, a final-four championship tournament as well as a Field Hockey Canada Hall of Fame induction ceremony luncheon. University teams from all over Canada including the Canada West, OUA and Atlantic divisions will be playing matches in September and October to determine the qualifiers for this event. Thank you to the University of Waterloo and associated partners for all their work. Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2026

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup returns to Ipoh, Malaysia in November 2026, providing Team Canada’s Men’s National Team with another opportunity to compete against some of the world’s top hockey nations. One of international hockey’s most prestigious invitational tournaments, the 2026 Azlan Shah Cup is a perfect fall/winter preparation tournament for the Men’s National Team leading into 2027 Pan American Games. Canada enters the 2026 edition looking to build on a promising 2025 campaign, where the Red Caribou finished fifth, earned victories over Korea, and an impressive draw against eventual champions Belgium. Team Canada will take on five other nations in a round-robin before the medal rounds. Canada will face Scotland, Australia, Malaysia, South Africa and USA. It’s another loaded field in Malaysia.

2026 Sultan of Johor Cup

The Junior Men’s National Team will be attending the 2026 Sultan of Johor Cup in Johor, Malaysia. The annual tournament brings together top-ranked junior sides in an international tournament. For the Canadian Junior Men, this tournament serves a prep-tournament for the 2027 Junior World Cup (dates TBD). The Sultan of Johor Cup is one of the premier international Under-21 men’s field hockey tournaments, held annually in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Established in 2011, the event brings together many of the world’s top junior national teams and serves as an important development pathway toward Junior World Cups and senior international competition.

2026 Masters World Cup – Netherlands & Belgium

The WMH Masters Field Hockey World Cup is taking place in Belgium and Netherlands this summer. Four host cities are combining to showcase the best of the best of masters hockey from July 22-August 16. Rotterdam, Schiedam, Breda and Brasschaat are united in hosting the 2026 Masters World Cup. Withe over 100 teams from over 30 countries in 10 divisions, the Masters World Cup is one of hockey’s biggest international festival events. Field Hockey Canada is thrilled to be sending eight national teams across the divisions.

Junior Women’s Pan American Cup

The 2026 Junior Pan American Championships take place in Santiago, Chile from April 6-18, 2026. The tournament is one-pool mega round robin and straight into the medal rounds.
